About Undivided

Since the summer of 1987, UNDIVIDED has answered the call of God upon our lives by sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ through music. God has opened doors for us in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina and North Carolina. In a musical style ranging from Southern Gospel to Inspirational Praise & Worship, it has been our privilege over the years to share and worship with many precious brothers and sisters in Christ.

We are Staff Music Evangelists of our home church, Northside Baptist Church, in Panama City, Florida. Each of us along with our families are actively involved in various ministries of the church, and believe we are all called to serve Christ with our talents and spiritual gifts. If you are ever in our area, we would love for you to visit us for Sunday or Wednesday services. For more information, call the church office at (850) 785-6137, or check out NBC on our contact page.

It never ceases to amaze us that the God who created us and saved us allows us to serve Him through the gift of music that He gave us to begin with! Through songs of praise and words of personal testimony, UNDIVIDED seeks only to lift the name of Jesus, that He might draw all men unto Himself. God Is Good...All The Time! He has blessed us in so many ways, and we would like to share with you what he is doing in our lives.

About Dan

About Dan

I am the newest member of Undivided, joining the ministry in March 2006, and as I am often reminded, the oldest, too.

Being the oldest brings to mind what Job asked Zophar the Naamathite "Is not wisdom found among the aged? Does not long life bring understanding?" The answer to these questions is, of course, yes, and I am finding that in this ministry, I exercise this "wisdom" by mostly keeping my mouth closed and just doing what Brenda and Cindy tell me to do! I learned a lot of this "wisdom" at home from almost 30 years of life and love with my beautiful bride, Lynne, who made my life complete by saying, "I do" in November 1977.

God blessed us with two children who are now grown. Angela is 27 and works for a local newspaper. She is my favorite daughter and is involved in our church, having taught Sunday School and working with the youth. Bryan, 23, is serving our country in the Navy. He is my favorite son and is assigned to a submarine in San Diego, Ca.

I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior in the spring of 1973 as a junior in high school. My walk since then has not always been smooth, but it has always been shared. He has been with me and for me in everything that has come my way and I will praise His name forever.

I love music and have been singing for as long as I can remember. I grew up participating in youth choirs and musicals. As I got older, I moved on to adult choirs and ensembles. I currently serve at Northside Baptist Church where Lynne and I have been members since 1988. God has blessed me by allowing me to serve Him through singing in Northside's praise team, adult choir, and by assisting with the youth choir.

Psalms 37:4 says "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." Last year God chose to give me the desire of my heart when I was asked to pray about serving Him as part of Undivided. As I prayed, God revealed to me that this door was open to me if I chose to walk through it. I did and He has been blessing me steadily ever since. It is an awesome thing to be allowed to serve Him doing something that you absolutely love to do. What a blessing it is to minister to others through singing songs of praise and encouragement, and by sharing Christ's love.

I heard a preacher say that one ingredient for a fulfilled life as a Christian is to have a sense of wonder. I wonder where He will lead us next.

About Brenda

About Brenda

Music has always been an important part of my life. Not only singing and playing, but every aspect of it, especially harmonies. I grew up in a Christian home with wonderful godly parents who encouraged me to pursue my love of music. I sang in choirs and performing groups at church and college never realizing how God was going to use this in my life. I accepted Christ when I was 11 years old and sailed along through my teens and early adult years, having what I considered a respectable relationship with the Lord. In September of 1978, after two years of college, I married my high school sweetheart, Les (who is my very best friend on this earth and the love of my life!), and my pursuit of music was put on hold as we began to build our life together. God has a way of working even when we don't see it, and He began to bring people and experiences into my life that were shaping me for what was about to happen. It was also during this time that I began to realize Who God is, and what I am without Him. The "respectable" relationship I had with Him was shallow at best, and through a series of events that He allowed to come into my life, my eyes and heart were finally opened to His amazing grace toward me. The Lord was also working in my husband's life, and in April of 1986, we surrendered our lives to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Talk about freedom!

In July of 1987, Undivided was born and life has not been the same since! What a journey God is taking us on! I look back over the past 20 years and marvel at His goodness. He has given us a precious daughter, Jessica, who is now 17, and the joy of our life. She enjoys basketball and fastpitch softball, and loves to make people laugh. Our favorite time spent is with each other as a family, or with close friends. We love Disney World and the mountains.....in any order at any time of the year!

I am so thankful that God has allowed me to be a part of His work through Undivided. His blessings are too numerous to count, the joys too deep to be properly expressed in mere words. However, if you have a few minutes, there is this song........

"My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise." (Psalm 57:7)

"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and respect." (1 Peter 3:15)

About Cindy

About Cindy

"Oh, my Lord what a time" ...God has been so good to me through the years. As I look back on my life, I see His hand all over me, even when I didn't know He was there. I was born and raised in Panama City, though sometimes I feel like I was born at Northside Baptist Church. My family went to church every Sunday, Wednesday and any other time the doors were open. I learned the importance of a good church family early in life. I grew up in a home where Jesus was taught and talked about all the time. As a young girl, at the age of nine, I gave my heart to my Heavenly Father while my earthly daddy led me through the sinner's prayer. I can always remember being a part of the music programs at church and at school. I didn't realize the talent God had given me at the time; I just thought the teachers liked me because I sang out....LOUD!

Little did I know what God had in store for me. Believe it or not, I met my husband, Mike, 22 years ago (I know I don't look that old) at Northside Baptist, the church we're still members of today. Shortly after we started dating, he introduced me to a girl he worked with who also sang. To my surprise, it was someone I knew who had also grown up at Northside several years ahead of me, Brenda Paris. As we got reacquainted, I learned she and her husband went to a sister church where she sang quite often with a guy by the name of Tommy Childs. Feeling God's tug on our hearts, we all got together to see what would happen and God blessed that meeting into a ministry. Even though we've been through many changes since then, God still continues to bless and even surprise us. In January of 2006, Tommy left the group and while he can't be replaced, God sent us Dan Davis and a new chapter of Undivided began.

In 1988, Mike and I got married. We have been blessed with 4 beautiful daughters. Katie (17), Slayton (13), Holly (11) and Olivia (4). We call ourselves the traveling circus when we go anywhere together. The girls are all involved in so many different things. Tennis, softball, cheerleading, horseback riding, soccer tots, youth choir, children's choir and pre-school choir. We are always on the go. Mike manages the Panama City office of a regional CPA firm and is always busy pushing a pencil and taking care of his clients. God has truly blessed his business and it continues to grow each year.

Who would have thought God would bless Undivided like He has. Certainly not me. I'm amazed He chose me to be a part of such an awesome ministry. After 20 years of being together, God continues to bless us and use us in ways I could never have imagined. A verse that has recently come to life for me is Jer 33: 3 "Call on me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things that I have for you" God has great and mighty things in store for us if we'll just call out to him. My prayer for Undivided is we continue to call on Him in anticipation of the greater things to come for this ministry. Dan, Brenda and I just want to be faithful to Him with our families and His ministry.
